Fulbright

I'm pleased and honored to announce that I have been named the Fulbright-Q21/MuseumsQuartier Artist-In-Residence for the 2018-19 grant cycle. Q21 is a collective of more than sixty alternative arts organizations within the MuseumsQuartier Wien, which is one of the largest cultural districts in the world and includes the Leopold Museum and MUMOK, the contemporary museum.
Every year the Fulbright organization selects one U.S.-based applicant for a Fulbright-affiliated residency at Q21. For 2019, that will be me.
My project is Regarding Th.at, a comics poetry cycle about Vienna. It will launch in April 2019, in conjunction with National Poetry Month. In the meantime, look at those stars spin. (Trigonometry finally came in handy.)
My Q21 appointment is with KABINETTpassage, which describes itself as a Raum für Comic und Artverwandtes. The closest translation I can find for Artverwandtes is "congeneric." A space for comics and similar creatures, basically.
For the whole story, I have penned a press release.
