Over at The Federalist, I take exception to a recent New York Times column that asked, Is Cultural Appropriation Always Wrong?
It occurred to me that it was the wrong question.

Vaunted harms 1 and 2 frightened me so much, until you refuted them with such ease. I will now sit back and listen to some tango music, the one that was torn from the African tambo musicians of Rio de la Plata. I will rest with the hope that a foreign culture some day gets inspired by my work, and rips it out of my soul. I will feel complete. And human.
