The painter Darryl Hughto just announced that Sir Anthony Caro has died.

I hope to carry on for another 10 or 12 years if I’m lucky,
he recently told the Independent on the occasion of his exhibition at Gagosian. It’s what I like doing. Old age is a shock, but I still enjoy making the works.
What a blessing to work, in a spirit of enjoyment, until the end. Rest in peace.
