Something Is Listless in Denmark
Post #1503 • January 25, 2012, 11:53 AM
David Thompson, ever alert to the rhetrorical loopiness that often attaches to contemporary art, noted recently that a group of contemporary artists had gathered on the Danish island of Møn to commemorate, with their own projects, an arts colony that had operated there in the 1970s called Decenter.
Unfortunately, this new effort was the project of conceptual artist Bettina Camilla Vestergaard, and loopiness gushed forth. I won't spoil David's best zingers, but the main question in my mind is how did we go from this...
...to this?
Ponder it as you read David's post.
