Lo! A Titian
Post #1474 • December 15, 2011, 11:12 AM
If you weren't able to join the Bloggers Tour at Art Miami this year, Joanne Mattera has posted a recap.
Art Miami had a lot of high-quality, serious work, chief among which as a Titian in the private collection of Edelman Arts. Also on offer were pieces by Friedel Dzubas (which disappeared from Spanierman Modern between my first visit on Thursday afternoon and the Friday morning I brought the tour there to see them—some collector had smartly snapped them up), Helen Frankenthaler, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, Milton Avery, and Larry Poons. I learned of Georges Valmier, and discovered Stefanie Schneider.
But go see that Titian.
