The news out there has been a little rough lately, so here's Bobby McFerrin and audience singing the Gounod/Bach Ave Maria. Brought to you by the Department of Skills.

Today is the feast day for Saint Thomas Aquinas. Brought to you by the Catholics, the home of the Jesuits, the last of the hard-nosed thinkers.

I loved Bobby's suggestion to the Jews in the audience.

I saw him a couple of years ago in concert and he is beyond words. If you ever had the chance to see him, RUN, don't walk, to buy tickets...

Recently the oldies station here in New York, the venerable CBS-FM, had a One Hit Wonder Day. The DJ introduced Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy" saying, "Some of you might object to Bobby McFerrin being classified as a one-hit wonder. But by the rules, it's true: He had only one song on the Billboard charts."
He's amazing. Carved out his own little space, accidentally got noticed once, and kept on truckin'.
