The Edmonton Journal ran a lovely article on yours truly this morning. It occurs to me that while I've gotten reviews before, this is my first profile piece. I had a great chat with Gilbert Bouchard and I thank him for his attention and effort.

Sincere and loving. How sweet. No one would know how cranky you are.
Congrats on the write-up, Franklin. Too bad our paths won't cross while I'm traveling back from San Francisco this week.

Cranky? I'm the picture of bliss. I dot my i's with hearts.
Hey Hans - how're you holding up there in Tblisi?

So you're a drawer, are you? A nice roomy one, I hope, made of fragrant wood. If he coudln't use draughtsman, you'd think he could have gone French and used dessinateur (even though that may be a bit much for Edmonton).

That was supposed to be "couldn't." Grrrr.

Actually, I rather like the Spanish term dibujante. The problem with draughtsman is that it sounds too technical, like somebody who does blueprints for houses. "Drawer," however, is much too gauche.
