The sense of freshness, of "plant-ness," of bloom is beautifully conveyed. I like the combination of simplicity or directness with an unstudied (or so it seems) delicacy, emphasized by the medium or technique. Nice color, too. Lovely.

"Very nice work, Franklin. No doubt it's even nicer in person."
I'll second that... looking forward to hosting your exhibition.
Perhaps we might have to work a short residency at the Lady Zog into your itinerary, Franklin. You and my missus could get a little NEPW action going...

Very nice stuff, Mrs. MC, more so the still lifes (though Housewife with a Broken Arm is a charmer). Swiss Chard and Eggs looks especially good.
But of course it's all too formal. Indifferent content, what there is of it. Ditto for narrative...

My first take on Mrs. MC's blog name was "No Class Lady." Obviously incorrect.
My wife loves gerber daisies.

No Chris, my senora is a classy Dona, even though she's a bit of a 'formalist'...

Hey Franklin
When you head out to the Northwest give me a shout. I'm still living and working in British Columbia but spending a lot of time near Portland, Oregon where I will be building a place. Been painting for a show in Lethbridge, Alberta with Michael Campbell late this year.
