Well, not really. But otherwise, what JL said. Had an excellent time checking out Americans in Paris. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a catalogue to snuggle up with. More soon.

- two days in NYC - just got here to the cheapest hotel - I loved the tedious cross hatching Wyeth uses - Durer-like!

And then back home, or are you headed up here? The aforementioned show is a beaut...

Let us know what you think of the cat. Franklin... I have a feeling my girlfriend might like a copy.

Yes, Jordan. Those are Zaha's paintings. BTW, congrats for that show at Dorsch. The energy was amazing.

We (Edmonton) almost got Hadid to design the new build for the Art Gallery of Alberta... but the selection committee unsurprisingly goofed the decision, so we're getting an painfully 'arty' Randall Stout instead...

zaha's aqua table is one of my favorites. love to have one sized for a coffee table. i think the prototype went for a few 100k or so. she made others in a limited edition that were around 12k at auction. pictures below..

Are you serious? Those tables are ugly as sin, and, worse yet, apparently non-functional. Aren't those depressions in the top of the table where the legs are in the first one, and isn't one of them curved so virtually nothing can be placed on it? Isn't that the height of mannerist artiness? No, thanks!

Sin is uglier, but I just don't get down with making your pad look like something out of the Jetsons. And for $12K? Not a chance.

Sin's no so ugly guys, if it's done well.

Thank you Marc. I'm not sure it is all that ugly done badly, but who knows.

Zaha Hadid has paintings at the Guggenheim - pretty austere clean and huge - did she make them herself?
