Alfredo Triff in the Miami New Times, December 4, 2003:

Finally, pay a visit to "Code" at Dorsch Gallery, a show with some of Miami's best and most interesting artists: Ralph Provisero, Mark Koven, Jordan Massengale, Kerry Ware, Kyle Trowbridge, Brian Reedy, Franklin Einspruch, Carolina Salazar, and Claudia Scalise, among others. A review of this show is forthcoming.

I hope this puppy comes forth soon, because his most recent piece didn't mention us, and unless his regular schedule has changed, he's not due to appear the New Times again until January 15, five days after the show closes.

Next time Triff is late and you're hard up for criticism, give me a shout. I'll be happy to oblige. Of course, if you want it in an actual publication, that's another matter.

franklin:
must admit you're right, though i didn't intend it to be this way --with basel and so much going on and it's a pitty. consolation is that i'll catch up with the next collective at dorsch. code was really nice, well presented, balanced, groovy, well attended. all those artists mentioned in my little caption are already doing important work here. they're coming from different angles, conceptual, painting, photo, sculpture, etc. more importantly, some are activists, teachers, critics... committed with miami. dorsch has a good eye and a good spirit. his gallery is one of miami's best. sorry,

triff
