Celeste Fraser Delgado wrote an excellent, objective, and informative article about the brouhaha surrounding the creation of a new Miami Art Museum in Bayfront Park.

Having read the article, my thoughts on the subject are unchanged:

1. There should be a big, big museum here in Miami.

2. It should only be built on Bayfront Park if there is loads of parking to go with it, and it is not clear whether this will be the case.

3. A bunch of rich people should pay for it, not the taxpayers. It would be good on principle if this were a public project, but Miami has a long track record of turning public projects into protracted exercises in money-burning.
