Now even more on the Internet
A bit of nice news - Walter Darby Bannard has a new Wikipedia page, which looks like it's going to stick, and it links to the Walter Darby Bannard Archive (mentioning yours truly, editor). We're both pleased about this and I want to express my esteem for the article's anonymous creator.
Also, Richard Lacayo, art critic for Time, just launched a blog (via), and he's doing a highly credible job of it. He put Artblog.net on his blogroll, which I enormously appreciate, no less for the fact that the link goes to Geoff Edgers' Exhibitionist blog. A note sent to the general contact e-mail at Time doesn't seem to have reached him, so Richard, if you're reading, welcome to the world of artblogging, and maybe go have a look at that when you get a minute. Geoff quite deserves a spot on there as well. Just not mine. ;o)
He means well. It'll get fixed.

Darby was well past due for this page. Now I can refer students to it so they can see who I'm talking about during non-objective painting classes.
Good times. w/r/t the link, I wish I handled other people's incompetence this well. w/t/t the Wiki page, very excellent, but I think it needs a nice up to date photo of the artist.
Speaking of incompetence, a pet peeve of mine is blogs that use the img tag functions to re-size an image. Hello? It looks like crap. Right-click on the (totally totally amazing Thomas Demand photo), say "view image" and viva the difference.
Alesh I have not seen any artist's pages in Wiki with photos of the artist. Have you? it doesn't seem to be the norm.

I don't get it. The art.blog link goes directly to something else and you are happy about it? Or are you just being tongue-in-cheek?
