Yours truly in Street Weekly: A thin line: Rocket Projects' Drawing Conclusions 2 is a lot like last year's show. Just not as good.
Omar Sommereyns for Street Weekly: Black magic women: The seven-woman show Gypsies Curse wards off evil eyes -- with a wink.
Omar Sommereyns for Street Weekly: It's not easy being green: Raymond Saa's Wynwood project brings nature back to the 'hood.
Alfredo Triff for the Miami New Times: Out with the Old: Artists are helping to revitalize Miami, but danger looms ahead.
Miami New Times: capsule reviews.
Elisa Turner for the Miami Herald: Artist's work tugs at heart of immigrants.
Jason Budjinski for the Broward/Palm Beach New Times: Artbeat: Imaginar Art House.
Broward/Palm Beach New Times: capsule reviews.
Gary Schwan for the Palm Beach Post: Body of works reflect artists' care for their craft.
My horoscope this week: "Artistic projects may take on a sexual theme at this time." (!!!)
See you there: tonight, "All You Can Eat" at Art & Culture Center of Hollywood; tomorrow, Robin Griffiths at Dorsch, "Made in Miami II" at Snitzer. Wynwood is having a gallery walk.

Yes, this is information overload, and as far as I know the only place to find so much coverage in one place in such a clear and accesible format. It's a real service, seems to me, and forms a reference point for anything one wants to discuss about local art.
That Gary Schwan at the Palm Beach Post has a nice, off-hand way of writing and he is actually pointedly critical of the exhibit he is writing about without being dismissive or obtuse. We need more of this here in Miami.

oldpro:
You will see a large portion of what you want to see within 100 years, not in 200 years.
If you are born again elsewhere, learn Spanish and come to Miami. You will see noticeable improvement in art related matters, but not in public transportation.

Momoko: I take it you recognize that none of us will be alive 100 years from now, sans some medical miracle.
It is nice that you see some end to all the nonsense.

I think Momoko is our resident Surrealist. Art will be OK when i am born again and come to Miami, but watch out for public transportation, she says. Ok, Momoko, will do.

Yow. Information overload, amigo.
I don't suppose you have any photos of the show at Rocket? I really love your descriptions (both the thoughtful and the hilarious ones), but I wouldn't have minded a little something to look at (as well as maybe some visual comparisons to last year's show?).
(And hey, if you have any photos of that artistic project with the sexual theme... uh... I mean... um... is that the phone? Uh, sorry, gotta go.)
Oh, actually, I also hope you'll be sharing some juicy tidbits with us about your "see you there" trio? (Maybe some show and tell?)
